Frequently Asked Questions
Standard two post lifts require a 12′ ceiling height. Bay size depends on how the lift is positioned, but generally, you should allow a minimum of 13′ in width and 20′ in length.
Lifts should always be installed on level concrete floors with a minimum of 4 inches (102 mm) and 3000 psi (20.7MPa) concrete that has been aged a minimum of 30 days. Most two post lifts require a constant supply of 230 volt – 1 phase – 60 Hz electrical power and a 20 amp circuit breaker.
The 10K offers standard and extended height options with field-adjustable settings. The 10K offers columns that are reinforced with extra steel. The 12K provides higher lifting capacity with field-adjustable height only.
Yes. All Maxx Two Post Lifts are ALI-certified and meet ANSI/ALI safety and operational standards.
Flexmetric lifts allow symmetric or asymmetric loading on the same lift, giving shops more flexibility with one piece of equipment.
Yes. Coats Connect Service offers ALI-certified inspections for any brand of lift.
We send our own factory trained, ALI-certified service techs to perform these lift inspections.
Hydraulic oil cannot be shipped with the lift and must be purchased locally. Please confirm with the lift installer that hydraulic oil is included in the installation price.
