NASHVILLE, Tenn. – July 13,2026 – Coats has announced the relaunch of its RC Series, expanding the lineup to pair existing RC tire changers with the new RC 450 and RC 550 wheel balancers. The updated RC Series is built for general repair shops that service passenger cars and light trucks with common OEM fitments, as well as tire dealers looking for dependable additional capacity during seasonal rushes.
The RC Series is a core-focused entry point to Coats’ tire service equipment, built with the same durability and ease of use customers have come to expect from Coats. It gives shops the core tire-changing and balancing capabilities they need to handle everyday tire repairs, rotations, balancing and new tire sales without overbuilding their bay or changing their setup.

The new RC 450 and RC 550 wheel balancers replace the 1185 and 885 space-saving balancer line, but the relaunched RC Series is more than a replacement. RC tire changers remain part of the lineup and now feature a new modernized look. Built on proven Coats rim clamp and swing arm designs, the RC tire changers give technicians familiar operation for standard tire service. The new RC 450 and RC 550 balancers bring feature-rich 115V balancing capability to the same series, helping technicians move from tire changing to balancing in one connected workflow.
As shop needs change, many Coats accessories can be added to increase fitment capability and help the equipment do more over time. The RC Series is also supported by Coats Connect, giving shops access to factory-trained service technicians, OEM parts and product support to help keep equipment running and work moving.
