Choosing an Adapter

After centering the vehicle between the posts, the next step is selecting the correct adapters. Brett explains that the standard adapter, which comes with the lifts, should be lined up first. For EVs, using a rubber pad adapter is crucial to avoid metal-on-metal contact and protect both the technician and the vehicle from unwanted damage or grounding. The step-down adapter, which slides in and is secured with a pin, is also recommended for hard-to-reach lift points.

Installing the Adapter

With the adapter selected, Brett demonstrates how to install it. Pull the pin out, drop the adapter in, and secure it by reinserting the pin. This ensures the adapter is firmly in place and ready to support the vehicle.
